THIS OPEN HOUSE WILL FEATURE THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS: ANIMATION; INTERIOR DESIGN; PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO ; VISUAL & CRITICAL STUDIES During our fall open house events, visitors have an opportunity to meet with the president of the College, the chair of each undergraduate department being showcased that day, current SVA students, and members of the Admissions, Financial Aid, Residence Life and Student Affairs staffs.

Since 2005, Faculty member Deborah Ross has been running watercolor workshops in remote villages in Africa.  The children she meets refer to the workshops as the “Painting Club,” because the activity has become the center for connecting generations with each other – the elders tell their stories and the children capture them in art. Here, she updates us with a few photos from her most recent journey there.
