IFP Award winner Julia Anquier looks to correct misrepresentations of feminine friendship with her thesis film, Farewell to Flesh. Set in her home city of Rio de Janeiro, her film cuts right to the point.
John Tashiro is graduating as a cinematography major, but for his thesis film A Girl Named Hope he took on directing and editing duties as well. Here, he writes about creating a unique visual style for his dark mockumentary.
2016 graduate Bat-Ami worked with Animator Ivan Viaranchyk on their Dusty winning thesis film, Night Shadows. Here, she tells us about screening the film at the Madeira Film Festival in Madeira Island, Portugal.
