Emmy award winning editor, independent director and passionate photographer Lance Cain’s most recent work, the 9/11 short film A Few Days After, debuted in the 2011 Ghost Shadows exhibit at Dada Post Gallery in Berlin. Cain began his career as a editor working at Version 2 Editorial and as a Creative Director with Third Element Productions and JP Studios where he produced and directed commercial spots and music videos for Capital, Select and Tommy Boy Records. Next he made his foray into producing online digital content by joining forces with Time Studios Inc., producing and editing a variety of doc-web series. In 2008 Cain co-created and co-directed the web series “New York Vérité”, a mélange of downtown theater, cinema vérité and reality TV, digitally filmed before a live studio audience.
Cain’s first major photo exhibition “The Corner Of Harlemstraat and St Germain” (2009) juxtaposing images of Parisian cafés and Amsterdam coffee-shops, opened at Soho Creative Gallery and exhibited at Axis Gallery in New York City.
Lance is currently directing the documentary “The Invisible Ones” which investigates the use of art as salve for the children of Haiti post the 2010 earthquake and the cultural impact of corporatized Aid Relief. Lance continues to work in television as an editor and story-producer for companies such as HBO, Bravo TV and The History Channel.
